Statement from the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation on the Nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court:

The justices of the U.S. Supreme Court are duty-bound to interpret the law, rather than to legislate from the bench.  It is our hope that, during the confirmation process, we will learn whether Judge Sotomayor is truly dedicated to interpreting the law, or will attempt judicial activism--something the majority of Americans oppose, according to a recent national poll conducted by the Polling Company (see http://www.aul.org/xm_client/client_documents/AUL_Survey_of_American_Adults_Topline_Results_Release.pdf ).
